An executive coach helps you grow as a leader. A CEO advisor helps you make a specific call: the deal, the hire, the partner, the timing. If you already know how to lead and need someone to think through the big moves with, you want an advisor.
I don't play dirty. I don't have to. I see the board.
I started at 17 in Navy search and rescue, checking every part of the helicopter before the crew flew.
Works on your habits, your communication, your blind spots. Asks good questions and helps you find your own answer. Usually hasn't sat in your seat, and doesn't need to.
Brings judgment from the seat. Has seen how the move you're considering plays out. Tells you what they'd do and why. Then the call is yours.
If the problem is you, get a coach. If the problem is the decision, get an advisor. If you're not sure, it's usually the decision.
I'm not a coach. I've sat in the CEO, COO, CAO and CHRO seats, as a founder and as a partner. I don't play dirty. I don't have to. I see the board.
Consigliere Advisory: $5,000 a month. A private 60-minute session every week, access between sessions, and prep before the conversations that count.
Or start with one decision: the Private Strategy Session, 90 minutes, $2,000.

For leadership growth, yes. For a specific high-stakes decision, an advisor who has sat in the seat is usually the better fit.
Advises on specific decisions: deals, timing, people and power. Brings judgment from having done the job.
Some try. Ask what seats they've actually held. That tells you which one they are.
It varies with access. Mine is $5,000 a month for weekly sessions and access in between, or $2,000 for a single 90-minute session.
Another name for the same seat: someone outside the company who helps a leader make the big calls.
