Business Consigliere · Noël Tarquinii

What is a business consigliere?

Noël Tarquinii
Short answer

A business consigliere is the confidant a CEO, owner or top producer talks to before the moves that matter. Someone with no agenda but yours, who has sat in the big seats and tells you what everyone else in the room won't.

No agenda but yours.

I started at 17 in Navy search and rescue, checking every part of the helicopter before the crew flew.

Where the word comes from

Consigliere is Italian for counselor. It's the person the head of the house trusts with what can't be said anywhere else. In business, it's the same seat: close, private, honest.

What a business consigliere does

  • Sees the whole board when you're too close to it.
  • Talks through the calls before you make them: the deal, the hire, the partner, the timing.
  • Preps you before the conversations that count.
  • Keeps it between you.

How it's different

A coach works on you. A consigliere works on the decisions with you, for as long as you want them in your corner. The call is always yours.

Why me

I came up on need-to-know. I still work that way. Whatever you bring me stays between us.

I've sat in the CEO, COO, CAO and CHRO seats, as a founder and as a partner. At 17, in Navy search and rescue, I made the call that grounded aircraft when lives were on the line. People have trusted me with the hard call ever since.

Work with me

Consigliere Advisory: $5,000 a month. A private 60-minute session every week, access between sessions, and prep before the conversations that count.

Or start with one decision: the Private Strategy Session, 90 minutes, $2,000.

What clients say

"There have been several occasions when Noël asked a question that completely changed how I was looking at an issue. That is difficult to put a price on."

President, Board of Directors

What people ask first

What does consigliere mean in business?

A trusted private advisor to a leader. The person they talk to before big decisions, outside the chain of command.

Is a consigliere the same as an executive coach?

No. A coach develops you. A consigliere advises you on specific decisions, power and timing, and has sat in the seats you're in.

Who hires a business consigliere?

CEOs, business owners and top producers who carry decisions they can't talk through with their team, board or family.

How is a consigliere different from a board member?

A board member has duties to the company. A consigliere is in your corner, with no agenda but yours.

Is what I tell a consigliere confidential?

With me, yes. I came up on need-to-know and I still work that way.

It stays between us.
